STI announces a pull station cover (Stopper® II) which mounts directly to the wall over an existing pull station. When the cover is lifted, a self-contained alarm sounds which draws immediate attention to the area. The prankster will either run or be caught, helping to prevent a false fire alarm. Cover does not restrict legitimate fire alarms from being activated. If service to the pull station is required, the covers 9 volt internal alarm may be deactivated. The alarm has a choice of a 95 or105 dB.

As stated by Sparky Shriver, fire marshal, Arvada Fire Department, “Needless running of the rigs because of malicious false fire alarms can be costly and dangerous. Stopper II has been tested and approved by fire prevention authorities including but not limited to UL, cUL, FM and ADA Compliance for operation. It also has a three year guarantee against breakage of polycarbonate in normal use (one year on electro mechanical and electronic components).
