Fiber Sensys, Inc. (FSI) offers several products for the integration and interoperability of perimeter security solutions, including the FSI Software Development Kit and Fiber-Optic Perimeter Security Intrusion Detection System. The Device SDK comes with a middleware application that, in many cases, allows for smooth integration with industry-standard alarm panels, head end units and annunciators. The FSI Fiber-Optic Perimeter Security Intrusion Detection system features an advanced fiber-optic sensor technology available for fence-line perimeter monitoring.

The related components include PC command & control software with internet protocol (IP) interface capability, alarm processing units (APU), optical lead-in cable, either single mode or multi-mode sensor cable, volumetric microwave sensor, hazardous material self-sealing splice housings, mounting hardware and system setup optimization software tools.

Multiple simultaneous events, such as coordinated intrusions, can be effectively detected and located with the FD500 series Alarm Processor Units (APU's). The system reports the coordinates of an attempted breach, which can be used for activating cameras and for security team dispatch. This core component of the perimeter solution integrates with other technologies to provide a complete multi-layered security solution.

The system is also tuned and calibrated to ignore non-localized disturbances, such as those produced by wind, rain and other environmental conditions.
