The Cypress Suprex® Wireless Supervised Reader-Extender Series is used for these access control needs:

• Wirelessly connecting card readers at doors / gates with an access control panel
• Avoiding trenching / installing cable / pulling wire for an access control system
• Connecting a card reader and access control panel across a parking lot, railroad tracks or in another building
• Installing card readers in an elevator
• Installing a reader temporarily

The Suprex Reader-Extender is a pair of units, a Remote unit and a Central unit. The Suprex Remote takes the Wiegand signal at the card reader and adapts it to wireless to send to the Control Panel. A relay is built into the Central unit to supervise the Central-Remote connection. Additional card readers can be added by using Cypress EXP-2000 Expansion Modules.

Wireless Suprex Reader-Extenders are compatible with Wiegand, MagStripe, and F/2F card readers, and can be field-configured to use with Wiegand keypad readers. Wireless Suprex units can accommodate other credentials by using Cypress DataBender™ format converters. AES encryption is available upon request.
